The clock doesn't start ticking the moment we have your device in our possession - instead, your device is accurately diagnosed* with what it needs to be properly serviced (parts and/or labor).
We then call to discuss the diagnosis as well as the total cost of the job. This includes any parts, labor, and tax.
If you approve of the service quote, the job is then completed at the specified and agreed upon price.
There are no hidden fees, etc. to worry about - as all pricing is discussed up front and agreed upon before service starts!

Southwick Computer Services makes a complete, honest, and thorough effort in servicing and repairing computer hardware and software to the best of our abilities.
However, all mechanical hard disk drives (HDD) do eventually fail. A hard drive may fail on a computer/device at any time, without warning, which can result in data loss.
Hard drive failures are relatively common despite significant advances in HDD technology. According to some manufacturers, about 1-2 percent of hard drives fail each year, and the average lifespan for a hard disk is anywhere from 3 to 5 years, depending on the drive's features and specifications.
Therefore, Southwick Computer Services cannot and will not be held liable for any loss of data that may occur while your device is in our possession.
It is best practice for all Users to maintain a backup of their personal data on a regular and consistent basis.
Southwick Computer Services fully guarantees that a Customer’s personal data will remain personal.
Data will not be viewed, nor will copies be made for any reason other than what is required to service the Customer's computer/device.
If a backup is made, it will be kept for a duration of 30 days (our Warranty period) on our isolated and secure backup machine; and then be completely eradicated.
All computers, hard drives, peripherals, etc. must be picked up and paid for within thirty (30) days of the date the Customer was notified by Southwick Computer Services that the device is ready to be picked up/delivered.
Any device not picked up and paid for within the 30 day period will be considered to be abandoned, becoming the property of Southwick Computer Services.
Southwick Computer Services reserves the right to do with the device what we may, up to and including disposal.
OPERATING SYSTEM ERASE & REINSTALL:
OS Erase & Reinstall AKA "Wipe & Reload" is a complete removal of the Operating System, Data, and Software on a computer. Certain programs cannot be reinstalled until the required software is provided by the customer.
Furthermore, all licenses, and/or product keys must be provided by the Customer to properly install and fully activate any and all applicable software.
In most instances, your personal data can be recovered and transferred to your fresh OS installation.
However, in some cases, data cannot be recovered depending on the status and health of the Customer's storage medium (HDD, SSD, USB Flash Drive, SD Card, etc.).
Again, it is best practice for all Customers to maintain a backup of their personal data on a regular and consistent basis.
