Service Policy - Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept walk-ins or drop-offs?

No. I work from a private home office. Pickup and delivery are included with service by appointment only.

Will pets be present during pick-up or drop-off?

If you have pets, please make sure they’re fully secured - either in a closed room or safely contained outside - before I arrive. This ensures everyone’s safety and helps me work without distractions. Thanks for your understanding!

Do you accept credit or debit cards?

No. Payment is accepted by cash or check made out to Southwick Computer Services.

Do you charge for diagnosis?

Yes. Every service begins with a required diagnostic to assess the issue. This fee is non-refundable and must be paid when your device is returned. A priority service option is also available for faster turnaround.

Why do you charge a diagnostic fee?

It covers the time and expertise needed to properly evaluate your issue. It’s what allows me to deliver reliable, professional results. 

Can I get a discount, match another quote, or offer referrals instead of payment?

No. I don’t compete on price - I compete on quality and results. Cheap IT isn’t good, and good IT isn’t cheap.

Can I call or email with a quick question or problem?

No. I don’t provide free tech support, diagnostics, or troubleshooting by phone or email.

If you’re experiencing an issue, I’m happy to schedule a service appointment for a proper evaluation. Like any professional service, my time and expertise are valuable. What may seem like a quick question often requires detailed attention and hands-on assessment.

What if I just want to know what computer, printer, or device to buy?

Recommendations are available through a consultation service tailored to your needs, usage, and goals. If you'd like expert guidance, simply reach out to schedule a session.

What if we’re a business?

All clients follow the same diagnostic process. If you need an on-site evaluation, I offer a separate consultation service for business clients.
