Service Policy - Frequently Asked Questions

Do you service businesses?

Yes. We provide IT solutions for businesses, including computer and workstation deployments, hardware and software setup, and proactive IT management, keeping your systems secure, reliable, and efficient.

Do you accept walk-ins or drop-offs?

No. All service is by appointment from our private office. Pickup and delivery are included to make the process convenient and secure.

Will pets be present during pick-up or drop-off?

If you have pets, please secure them in a closed room or safely outside before we arrive. This ensures safety and allows us to complete service efficiently and without distractions.

Do you charge for diagnosis?

Yes. Every service begins with a required diagnostic or on-site consultation. The fee is non-refundable and due upon completion, even if recommended service is declined.

Why do you charge a diagnostic fee?

The fee covers the time, expertise, and evaluation required to deliver accurate, professional results. It ensures any recommendations are correct and appropriate for your situation.

Can I get a cash discount, match another quote, or pay with referrals?

No. We do not compete on price. We compete on quality, reliability, and long-term results. Good IT work is an investment — cheap solutions are never a substitute for proper, lasting service.

Can I supply my own hardware or software?

No. All hardware and software must be provided through Southwick Computer Services. This guarantees compatibility, performance, and authentic licensing, and allows us to provide proper warranty coverage and full support.

Do you accept credit or debit cards?

 No. Payment is accepted by cash or check made out to Southwick Computer Services.

Do you service Apple products?

Yes and no. We do not perform hardware repairs due to Apple’s restrictive policies and planned obsolescence. However, we provide software support, including virus removal, printer and email troubleshooting, and, when possible, data recovery on certain Apple computers.

Do you build custom gaming PCs?

Yes! We build custom gaming PCs designed for performance, reliability, and your specific needs. Whether it’s a casual gaming system or a high-end rig, we tailor each build to your goals and budget. Contact us to get started.

Can I call or email with a quick question or problem?

No. We do not provide free tech support, diagnostics, or troubleshooting by phone or email. Professional IT service requires hands-on assessment. What may seem like a quick question often requires detailed attention and careful evaluation. We are happy to schedule a service appointment to properly address any issues.
